Ken is best known for his mountain landscape photography, which spans over thirty years of walking in Britain, and abroad in Corsica, the Pyrenees, North America and the Alps. In recent times Ken’s repertoire has expanded to include a diversity of styles from intimate nature to abstract art, which have developed from the discipline of daily practice. Ken has completed over 2100 consecutive days (six years) of his “365 Project”, making a picture every day. You’ve heard the announcement .. you have (hopefully) read the email .. 8 of you have signed up already .. we even have some new members .. now come and join …
‘The Palmerstown 52′ on Flickr!
We currently have 31 members associated to the existing Flickr site & feel free to join that one too. But what is it all about .. well .. let’s start with Flickr first …?
Flickr – is probably the best online photo management and sharing application in the world & its goals are to
- help people make their photos available to the people who matter to them and
- to enable new ways of organising photos and videos.
To understand it a little more, you can take a tour here.
About The Palmerstown 52
This place is for Palmerstown Camera Club members .. it’s called The Palmerstown 52 (a.k.a TP52)!
The intent is to encourage you to take one picture per week for up to 52 weeks – all for a bit of fun!
This is a private site and currently for club members only. It is designed to
- generate the impetus for us to take our camera’s with us more often, indeed daily,
- to encourage you to further use the photo world of Flickr.
This in no way replaces any club competition but indeed, may help members grow their image portfolio. Indeed, you could post a prospective competition image here for comment!
We encourage members not only to get out there (or stay in if that is their preferred flavour of photography) and:
take + process + post it here + then comment on your club mates images.
We may choose to add some competitiveness to the site at some stage and/or request ‘The Chief Justice’, ‘The QC’ or ‘Yer’ Honour’ to pass sentence on your submissions!! Rules apply!
The first image is due from you week commencing 5th December.
